Für alle Interessierten ein heisser Tip:
Die alten italienischen Folk-Heroen der Gruppe Barabán haben 2005 eine ganz hervorragende DVD zu dieser Thematik herausgebracht. Super Interpretationen der Partisanenlieder (u.a. eben Bella Ciao) ,angereichert ist das Ganze mit Augenzeugen-Interviews und dokumentarisch Zeitgeschichtlichem.
Das einzige Problem ist, englische Untertitel zu lesen, während Italiener sprechen - das Tempo ist kaum zu schaffen. Aber wirklich eine gut gemachte musikalische Dokumentation - vor allem weil sich neben dem bekannten Bella Ciao auch noch weitere sehr schöne Lieder dort finden.

Venti 5 d'Aprile is a new production by Baraban dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Liberation from Fascism : a 90 minutes DVD including footages from various Baraban's concerts, testimonies of partisans, dispatch riders, survivors from Cefalonia and cultural figures that lived that historic period, immages and photos. As for the music, Baraban perform some of the most famous songs of the Anti-fascism (Fischia it vento, Bella ciao, Oltre il Fonts, Pieta I'emotte, Eurialo e Niso, Neve e fango, Bandiera nera la vogliamo: No!), songs against the war (Gorizia), music from the Jewish tradition (Flatbush waltz). Partisan melodies (Con la guerriglia), and original compositions form the soundtrack for this voyage in our memory A DVD that gives the chance to discover live one of the best Northern Italy roots music group and a period of our recent history that lately Italians and many others seem to have forgotten.
