Hello German Friends in Scouting,
I live in California and I'm coordinating a trip for my scouts to go to Germany either next summer, or summer 2022 (depending on Rona). I lived in Kaiserslaughtern (Go Devils!) for a few years, and I fell in love with the country and the German people/culture so I would love to introduce our scouts to your country.
What I would love to do, is to coordinate with some troops while we are there to do a joint campout. I think we can learn from each other and hopefully make some international friends. Ideally, I would love to also host some of the same scouts that we meet in Germany and have them come to Northern California as our guests. They could see San Francisco, Redwoods, some old-west towns, and do a couple camping trips with the BSA (Boy Scouts of America) troops in California (and maybe attend a summer camp in CA with us).
I know this is a bold plan, but please let me know if you would be willing to consider hosting (depending on dates) a group of Americans for a campout and/or if you would like to consider taking your troop to California and camping/exploring with us.

Welcome!
Are your Scouts interested in going to certain regions of Germany or in attending certain events? For us Germans, there is quite a distance between Bavaria and the North Sea as you might know.
In Summer 2021, there will be a number of medium sized camps on Bundesland (federal state) level, mostly postponed from 2020. In 2022, two of the bigger Scout associations (BdP and VCP) will hold their national jamborees, both with about 5000 participants.
